According to numerous reports this morning, John Aloisi is in the box-seat to secure the vacant Western United head coaching role.
According to broadcaster and former player Rob Cornthwaite, Aloisi is leading the race to become the head coach of the newest Victorian A-League franchise.
Last year, Aloisi was among the candidates for the then-vacant Melbourne Victory head coaching role, with Grant Brebner later securing the role.
Aloisi despite being deemed as a young coach by many respects began his coaching career with the Melbourne Heart in 2011, later coaching the Brisbane Roar from 2015-2018 where he made the semi-finals in his first two seasons in Queensland.
More recently, Aloisi has been a pundit for Optus Sports’ coverage of the Premier League, Champions League, European Championships and Copa América coverage, showcasing his tactical nous.
“He was interviewed ten days ago… so 99.99% so obviously the club has to confirm it” Val Migliaccio said on the Triple M show “The Real Football Show”
