The Brisbane Roar would lose to the Gold Coast Knights in a battle of second and third on the ladder.
The second placed Roar’s winning streak would come to an end in comprehensive fashion, going down 3-0 to the Knights.
With both teams goalless in the first half, the Knights would break away in the second half scoring three goals.
Curtis Stollery broke the deadlock for the Knights in the 63rd minute, with Cai Tipaldo and Jheison Macuace finding the net in the 74th and 90th minute.
NPL affiliate: Perth Glory (NPL West)
This Weekend: Perth Glory v Gwelup Croatia SC, Saturday July 24 5:00pm, Crazy Domains Stadium

Undefeated in their last five outing, the Glory are poised for an NPL West final berth now sitting in the top four.
Midfielder Giordano Colli would score the opening goal in the 12th minute from the penalty spot.
It would come after midfielder Aidan Edwards was taken down in the box running through on goal.
Edwards would then score himself five minutes later. His shot would take a wicked deflection after being saved and bounce into the next for a bizarre goal.
The Glory would add a third goal before halftime, with midfielder Jack Painter-Andrews heading home from a Colli freekick.
Left unmarked, Painter-Andrews would have a free run to head home.
The Glory would score their fourth goal in the 66th minute through forward Joshua Anasmo who dribble past the keeper to score his 10th goal of the season in a man of the match performance
The Glory’s fifth goal and final goal would come through Adam Zimarino in the 73rd minute to cap off a brilliant team display.
